This is a difficult time for Independent schools and no-one is sure what the medium to long time impact will be. What we can say is that the maximum increase in January should be 20%, though increases of 10-15% seem more likely.
We would certainly review your plans, including affordability, and school of choice to ensure you are getting value for money. We have already seen an increase in enquiries regarding long-term tuition plans as a substitute for independent school. We would be more than happy to discuss your personal situation to identify your best course of action.
We beleive so. The UK education system is getting more competitive, and complex, every year. A child cruising because they are not challenged in one school can be as damaging as fighting to keep their head above the water in another. Based on you and your child's needs, wants, and capabilities we build on the assessment to identify the best-suited learning plan and academic institution for your child to foourish.
That depends on the type of secondary school.
For Partially Selective State schools there are some options but it is on a case-by-case basis.
For Grammar Schools your child must take the 11+ exam.
For Independent schools, there is a path into selective secondary schools via expansion years, early leavers, and feeder schools which can circumvent the need for 11+ entrance exams entirely. An in-year assessment is still required, which we can support, but this is significantly less stressful and competitive than other alternatives.
Please contact us if you would like to learn more about this process.
Yes, more than you would imagine. Catchment areas for good state schools has always been a major factor in a families choice of location, but that invaribly resulted in higher housing costs. With the rise of hybrid and flexible working, people are now looking further afield to mitigate those costs, while being more selective about finding the right school for their child.
Our school matching and relocation services will ensure you find the right school or university for your child whilst providing a simple, pain-free relocation process.
Absolutely. On top of all the services offered to UK Students, we also pffer visa anrd relocation services to ensure a trouble-free, end-to-end educational service. Please contact us for a free consultation to discuss your needs.
That depends on the age range of your child. During Key Stage 2 we focus on Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning, and Non-Verbal topics, alongside Exam techniques. As your child progresses through KS3 we have more emphasis on the triple sciences. Approaching GCSE and A-Level, the focus is on individual subject mastery based on the exams subjects your child has chosen. In addition, we provide speciliast English tuition for International Students entering the UK Educational System.
We beieve these are critical life lessons that stay with all children throughout their lives, and we are not alone. Although financial literacy (thanks to Martin Lewis) has begun to enter the curriculum it is not widespread. Schools struggle with time and skills to teach either topic in significant depth and so we built these programs to give children a head-start in critical llife-lessons. It is better said by others:
“The number one problem in today's generation and economy is the lack of financial literacy" - Alan Greenspan
“If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow.” – John Dewey
Yes.
In Key Stage 2, this is normally by exception as our online tuition programs effectively serve our customers desired outcomes, though some international students may benefit from 1:1 tuition at this early age.
From Key Stage 3, through GCSE, and A-Level the tuition requirements become more individual, and that is where 1:1 and face:face tuiton becomes the norm.
